Stewardship Corner
Jesus meets the need of each disciple. To the fearful in the upper room, He speaks words of peace. To doubting Thomas, He provides the tangible proof of His resurrection. What do I need to become His disciple? What do I have to share that might meet someone else’s need?
Construction Corner Work continues on St. Joseph Church including framing around heaters and duct work. Thanks to all for your patience during remodeling. Leave a Legacy Might this be for you? “I had some stocks paying very little dividends, but selling them and paying capital gains tax would have been very costly.” A solution? Set up a Charitable Gift Annuity through the Humboldt Area Foundation (442-2993) naming St. Bernard Church and find out how both you (receiving lifetime payments and a significant tax break) and the parish (through your gift) can benefit.

THANKS– Last week, we celebrated another beautiful Easter Vigil. As Coordinator of RCIA, I believe this is an appropriate time to acknowledge all who have contributed, not only to that one night but to the entire process, year after year, for the past 24 years. My heartfelt thanks to:the clergy, whose support and participation are vital to the RCIA - the RCIA team, whose commitment is ongoing and selfless -the sponsors, who walk with the candidates on their journeys of faith - all who have prayed with and for those wanting to join our Church, welcomed them to parish activities, shared their faith, sewed the garments for their sacraments, feted them at the Easter Vigil Receptions and in general, provided for them an example of what it means to be a Catholic Christian.
RCIA Congratulations to the newest members of our faith community: Jennifer Jeffreys and Geri Vincent, baptized at the Easter Vigil. These new members are our Risen Lord’s first Easter gift to our church! Please continue to pray for them and for those confirmed with them at the Easter Vigil - Rick Egbert and Sheila Veith - as they move through the period of mystagogia and a deeper initiation into the mysteries of Christ and His sacraments.
