What Mass Intention? Every person attending Mass should offer it for a particular intention asking God to hear our prayer for a special need or needs or for a person or group of persons—living or dead. The priest, too, offers his Mass for an intention, often an intention that someone in the parish has requested. If you wish to have the priest say Mass for your intention, you may arrange this through the office. The usual offering is $10, but this is voluntary. Mass has no “price” and is never “sold”. This offering is called a “stipend” and goes to the priest as a thank you for his time. If you wish, the Mass will be said on a particular day and the intention printed in the bulletin. Many persons prefer not to publish the intention. It is your choice.
Rest in Peace Please pray for the recently deceased and his family members, Max Rotherham.
Prayer Line We often hear heroic stories working on the prayer line. It’s a humbling experience. The Prayer Leader for this week is Therese. Please call her at 441-9159 with your prayer intentions.
