What do you treasure most?
There are many good things that we value, yet ultimately our earthly possessions are temporary. Through our love of God and neighbor, Jesus invites us to invest in eternity.
He tells us: “Store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be”
(Mt 6:20-21).
When we store our treasure in heaven, our hearts are secure in God’s love and we can enjoy the goods of this world with detachment and peace. Each gift, prayer, and charitable act of yours participates in the work of God’s eternal kingdom.
Every year, the Annual Ministry Appeal (AMA) provides the opportunity for each individual in our diocesan family to play a very important role in our ministries that strengthen families, form missionary disciples, and support our clergy and vocations.
I invite you to prayerfully consider a gift to this year’s Appeal. Whatever treasure you are able to share, great or small, your participation is important and greatly valued.
